We are an Anglican Church in the Villa Park neighborhood in south-west Denver.  We seek to share in the life of God together by re-defining and re-orienting everything around the gospel of Jesus Christ. We follow a liturgical form of worship and welcome friends, neighbors, and strangers alike.

Small Groups

Small Groups

At Church of the Advent, the ongoing work of growing in relationship with God, each other, and the world happens in Small Groups.  Small Groups are simply an "extended family learning to live out the gospel together."

Small Groups are currently on summer break!

Be looking for information about Summer studies coming soon!

Summer Studies start the first week of July and run through mid August.

Small Groups will start back in September. Check back in August for more information about new and continuing groups for 2016/2017

Women’s Fall Bible Study - Led by Cindy Hamilton (Jen Myer & Danielle Elliot assisting)
Hosted by Jen Myers

bi-weekly Sundays from 4-6pm, Beginning September 13

Women of Advent will be gathering this fall to study the Book of Ruth, an inductive Bible study.  But, more importantly it is the study of redemption, Ruth, the Road to Redemption.  As we study Ruth we will grow in understanding of our own redemption, as well as redeeming the past and participating with our Lord in our continuing redemption.

Men’s Small Group - Led by Jeromie Rand and Thomas Elliott
Sundays from 4-6pm, Beginning September 13
The men of Advent will be gathering this fall to grow in relationship with God and each other. For more information about the Men’s small group contact Jeromie Rand at

Central Denver Group - Led by Andy & Elizabeth McGowan
Sundays from 6-8pm, beginning September 13

We will walk through the book “The Good and Beautiful God” by James Bryan Smith. This book will lead us through several questions about what we really believe about God, how those beliefs influence our every day lives, and if they are accurate in light of everything Christ teaches us about His father. We’ll work through these questions together, and learn from each other as we go.

East Denver- led by Jess & Sara Bartley and Josh & Danielle Williams
Hosted by the Bartley family
Sundays from 5-7pm, beginning September 13

Our groups focus is spiritual transformation through relationships.  To this end, we spend a lot of time discussing God and life, and eating good food together.  This group was established last year and is full for the upcoming year.

Grajcar / Roseveare - Led by the Grajcar’s & Roseveare’s
Hosted by Grajcars & Roseveares
Mondays at 7pm beginning September 21

Our goal will be to read through and discuss a few books from the New Testement throughout the course of the year, starting with Galatians. Any larger questions that arise during the discussions will be put into the Q Box and revisited after finishing that book.  Our main focus will be to simply enjoy each other’s company as we dig into scripture together, and encourage each other by expanding our understanding of the gospel.
